Real Wedding – Brigid + Ben
Having a hire company in the family certainly made this wedding a special event allowing us to create something completely customisable. From the furniture to the flooring to the tableware, everything was created especially for Brigid and Ben's big day.
White+White recently had the privilege of being involved in Brigid and Ben’s gorgeous Gold Coast wedding which was a special project for us as we had the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Moreton Hire to create a stunning bespoke wedding. Each element from the furniture, to linens, to lighting, fittings and backdrops was carefully conceptualised and crafted to create an entirely unique and completely customised look.
Held at Brigid’s family home in Carrara, the reception was anything but your average backyard wedding. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with refreshments in the Cocktail Courtyard – the first of three custom marquee spaces for the evening, each possessing its own unique quality brought to life through romantic lighting, rich and luxurious hues and modern elements. A feature foliage wall, striking round timber bar, and modern black wire, woven and timber elements created a relaxed alfresco atmosphere in the courtyard. Music by the 3 piece Sasta Irish Band, a nod to the groom’s Irish heritage, made for a lively start to the evening as guests mingled in the clear top marquee.
As the sun began to set, the festivities moved through to the Dining Space – a vision of jaw-dropping floral displays, incredible art deco chandeliers and soft candlelight. The elegant tablescapes featured luxurious hues of velvet emerald green and soft grey, mixed with sleek black and enhanced with organic greenery, giving the space a modern edge. A thick runner of fresh green foliage with bright white florals peeking through draped loosely through the middle of the bridal table dotted with black candlesticks, complimenting place settings that featured modern stationery tied with black velvet ribbon. A sumptuous feast was shared whilst heartfelt speeches were given by beloved family and friends against a feature wall of criss-crossed greenery.
Celebrations continued into the final reception space – the Cabaret Dance Floor and Bar. Featuring stunning floral arrangements, a hanging installation of greenery and drop bulbs suspended above the rounded sleek black bar, pops of emerald and chartreuse velvet, and banquet and bucket seating surrounding the dance floor in a cabaret style, stepping into the room was like being transported to another time. Ending what was truly a memorable night in style, guests danced the night away on the black and white checkered dance floor to the phenomenal sounds of Hamilton Band.
Without a doubt this was one of the most unforgettable marquee weddings we have had the privilege of being part of. Congratulations Brigid and Ben!
