Jenny and John said their ‘I do’s’ during a special ceremony at St Stephens Cathedral in Brisbane City and chose to celebrate their union with family and friends at Black Bird Private Dining. Guests were welcomed into the space by golden gates adorned with florals which were lit creating a warm glow and setting the soft ambience of the reception.
Long tables with metallic edging were decorated by clear plates with gold rims, gold cutlery, white linen napkins and customised, circular menus with semicircle place cards in blush pink. The stationery featured gold foiling which complimented the floating candles housed in gold rimmed cylinder vessels.
Tall stands held florals clustered in each corner, each arrangement slightly different from the next bringing texture and interest to the statement feature. Blocks of bundled florals sat on each table, complimenting the bride’s bouquet in muted tones – pale pinks and earl grey rose, and a touch of burgundy and white. The full, fluffy, romantic blooms were finished with a stain ribbon.
Sitting on a glass table with a gold rim was the true feature of this special celebration – the couple’s four-tier wedding cake. The top two tiers were a Queensland delight flavoured by dark chocolate, rum and coffee which contrasted with the tier below in white chocolate, macadamia and coconut. The real crowd pleaser was the bottom tier made of delectable red velvet and served with fresh cream and coulis.
Jenny and John’s unique celebration was surrounded by love, light and romance.
Congratulations to Jenny and John!
