Real Wedding – Lynda + Paul
Lynda + Paul were married in May this year and celebrated with their close family and friends in their own beautiful home. The theme of the entire day was elegant, timeless and incredibly romantic. The desire was to create a look that reflected a provincial European style. With a colour palette of dove grey, whites and creams mixed with soft foliage and timber elements in the perfect surrounds of their stunning home and gardens you could hardly believe the celebration took place in a backyard in Brisbane.
The day began as the couple exchanged vows of love and friendship with a relaxed Ceremony at the iconic Brisbane City Hall.
Back at their home, guests enjoyed drinks and speeches on the lawn until nightfall. Indoors, cafe tables and bentwood seating brought a French bistro to life while the outdoor garden setting was adorned with festoon lighting suspended above an outdoor bar serving champagne in elegant crystal cut glassware.
The food also reflected the European style with a mix of Italian, Spanish and French influences served as delicious canapés and food stations. The couple chose a Paris-brest as their wedding cake to tie in with the European style as well. Soft candlelight created a romantic atmosphere once the sun had finally set as the couple had their first dance as husband and wife beneath a stunning floral wreath. Their guests joined in, dancing and celebrating long into the night.
Private property weddings have always been a White+White favourite and Lynda and Paul’s beautiful celebration was certainly one for the ages. There’s really nothing quite like being married at home.
