Real Wedding – Nadia + Alex
When the brief came in for a “Vintage high tea with a Mexican day of the dead carnival mixed with an English country garden feel”, it is safe to say we were a little stumped. Yet we were also wildly excited about creating the ultimate wedding styling concept. Nadia and Alex’s ideas and lifestyle combined beautifully with Sarah’s visual aesthetic to create an enchanting setting which ticked every box of the brief and then some.
We brought in turf, picket fencing, wooden ladders and even a flamboyant flamingo cake for a high tea as decadent as the main event itself. We even had their beloved puppies at the ceremony and giant cabaret LOVE letters sent up from Sydney to make a show-stopping DJ booth feature. However, the real beauty lay in the stunning floral installations from Green and Bloom, which hung delicately over the guest tables. Brightly coloured carnation heads cascaded down from the ladders to provide a delicious feast for the eyes. This look worked perfectly with the mixture of colours and textures that appeared on the tables, with kitsch porcelain swans sitting next to vintage salt and pepper shaker favours.
Every element surprised and dazzled, leaving us with a deep satisfaction that we’d created the perfect English/Mexican/Vintage inspired wedding.
“We chose white+ white because we knew we wanted an eclectic fun theme that reflected our many passions, but we needed someone who could understand what we wanted and be able to deliver it. Danielle, Sarah and Lisa did that and more. The result couldn’t have been any better. It was even more amazing than we had imagined.”
