The recent Wedding Planning 101 Workshop was the perfect opportunity for budding planners to gain a valuable insight into the wedding planning industry.

  The recent Wedding Planning 101 Workshop was the perfect opportunity for budding planners to gain a valuable insight into the wedding planning industry. During the workshop Danielle discussed her experience creating and growing white+white, she also shared some tips and tricks about having your own successful wedding planning business. She gave advice on creating your dream team of suppliers, wedding day organisation, ways to gain work experience, the wedding design process and much more! Danielle outlined the entire planning process and showed her favourite resources which included the Run Sheet and The White Directory.   Geraldine shared with us how she runs her successful florist business and gave some practical advice on event styling and working with blooms at weddings. Kate gave us the run down about how she runs her photography business and her podcast The Love Club. She also shared some practical tips about creating beautiful wedding photos and how stay stress free on the day.   Danielle and Geraldine demonstrated some beautiful and unique ways to style tables using plates, cutlery, glasses, candles, blooms, napkins and tablecloths. Workshop participants then had the chance to get some hands-on table styling experience and created their own styled table. This was the perfect opportunity to play around with fun decorative elements and try some new floral styling techniques, napkin folding, and table layouts.

  The next step for budding wedding planners is the Advanced Business Workshop held at Lightspace on the 30th of August 2020 from 10am-1pm. This workshop will provide planners with even more insight into processes, marketing, styling and more. You will hear from Danielle and her professional network, including Katie from Croft PR and Sarah from Freckle Digital about a range of useful business skills.
